Fresh Air
Clean air is important to everyone. We protect air quality by keeping our barns clean and using special manure storage facilities to help control odors.

Recycling
We recycle because it’s a win-win for everyone. Cow manure is used as an organic fertilizer for our cropland. Applying recycled manure to the crops helps increase the water-holding capacity of the soil, which reduces the need for irrigation. Manure is also used for compost, which is used by local nurseries and by neighbors for their gardens. This greatly reduces the use of commercial fertilizers, which are often made from fossil fuels. The water used on our farm is also recycled several times a day to wash barn alleys and irrigate the fields.

Waste/Manure Management
We boost efficiency and take care of our cows and surroundings by using the latest scientific research. Technologies like "digesters" reduce our manure odor, energy-saving methods are used for milking and cooling the milk, and manure recycling plans protect soil and water resources.

Retention Ponds
We created retention ponds on the property to correctly manage the water runoff from the farm.
